On November 13, 2005, three years after the Los Angeles Galaxy claimed their first title, Guatemala was again responsible for giving Los Angeles their second title, this time in the 2005 MLS Cup.
Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas, was the venue for the only goal of the final, which came in the 107th minute and was scored by Guillermo Ramirez, as the Los Angeles Galaxy defeated the New England Revolution 1-0.
Ramirez came on at number 66 for American Ned Grabavoi, and ended up scoring the winning goal. He was also named man of the match.

On September 16, 2014, the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Final was played between Philadelphia Union and Seattle Sounders FC, with Guatemalan Marco Papa playing.
The match was played at PPL Park in Chester, Pennsylvania in front of 15,256 spectators. Baba came on in the 64th minute for American Lamar Nagle. With the score 1-1: Maurice Edu (38) for Philadelphia and Chad Barrett (47) for the Sounders, the match went to extra time. There, Seattle Sounders scored two more goals through Clint Dempsey (101) and Obafemi Martins (114), leaving the team of the two youngsters, and the former municipal player, champions.

Nicholas Hagen King of the League Cup
Former Al-Municipality goalkeeper Nicholas Hagen claimed his first title with the American team Columbus Crew on Sunday, August 25, during the final match of the 2024 League Cup, which includes clubs from Mexico and the United States.
Hagen was a starter in the Round of 32 and Round of 16. For the quarterfinals and semifinals, the starting role went to Patrick Schulte. But the final went to Chapin and his team beat Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) 3-1 thanks to goals from Juan Camilo Hernandez (45′ and 90+2′) and Jason Russell Rowe (90+3′). Olivier Giroud (57′) was temporarily restricted.
In the history of Columbus Crew, another Guatemalan player, Freddy Alexander Garcia, also made them champions of the Lamar Hunt edition, the 2002 edition, on that occasion the Crew beat Los Angeles Galaxy 1-0 with a score from “Mouse” Garcia. Freddy Garcia left the communications for Columbus, and after his time in MLS he was signed by the municipality.
