MSC Virtuosa arrives in Southampton before resuming UK cruises

MSC Virtuosa, MSC Cruises’ latest flagship ship, Southampton has arrived, Is ready to receive passengers from the UK and embark on its maiden voyage across the British Isles on May 20.

MSC Cruises, the first cruise line to resume operations in the UK, will offer passengers a selection of small cruises for three and four nights starting May 20 and then starting June 5, the ship will begin with itineraries seven nights.

Week-long excursions include stops at the picturesque island of Portland and the cultural city of Belfast in Northern Ireland, as well as providing several harbor ports, including Liverpool and Greenock, near Glasgow, Scotland, and over Southampton.

MSC Virtuosa is one of MSC Cruises’ most innovative and environmentally advanced vessels. The 19-deck vessel will provide British passengers, of all ages, the best in fine dining restaurants, world-class entertainment, bars and lounges, boutique stores, spa and fitness center, as well as a water park and clubs for children and teenagers. The awe-inspiring feature of the ship is its 112-meter-tall iconic park with a magnificent LED dome, which forms the social heart and cruise center.

The all-new MSC StarShip Club will be launched on the MSC Virtuosa: the world’s first futuristic immersive experience at sea, and will feature a robotic robot bartender, Rob, who will prepare a selection of cocktails for passengers.

The summer headquarters of MSC Virtuosa will be ABP Southampton, with which MSC Cruises recently announced a long-term partnership. The ship will initially sail from the city’s cruise terminal, before moving to the Horizon Cruise Terminal for passengers to board as soon as it is opened.

The MSC Virtuosa will become the third MSC Cruises ship to return to the sea when it sails on its maiden voyage on May 20, joining two ships already operating in the Mediterranean: the MSC Seaside, which already welcomed passengers on board last week, and the MSC Grandiosa sailing the Mediterranean.
