More people illegally mining gold are being arrested in Panama

Statistics from the National Environment, Rural and Tourism Police revealed that around 37 people have been arrested for illegal mining so far this year, most of the cases within the Chagres Nature Park, in Kowloon and surrounding areas.

For his part, the Public Prosecutor of the Environment managed to judge eight Colombian nationals, arrested on June 4, for having evidence of illegal gold extraction in the Pito River, also in the territory of origin.
