MMRD and UASD School of Political Science Establish Collaboration for ‘Cinema Thursday’

EL NUEVO DIARIO, Santo Domingo. The Memorial Museum of the Dominican Resistance (MMRD), through its Film and Audiovisual Department, and the Faculty of Political Science of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), has established a collaborative inter-institutional collaboration in – strengthening the “Cinema Thursday” programming that grows the museum institution.

On a visit by Henriette Weiss, in charge of the Museum’s Film Department, to Mr. Adonis Martin, Director of the School of Political Science at that Academy, they both agreed that both students and professors of the Graduate House, would be incorporated into the Cineforum which is offered every Thursday at 12:00. 7:00 pm.

Cineforum aims to disseminate social and historical films, in the context of both the country, Latin America, Europe and other parts of the world, which can finally be analyzed by attendees with subject matter experts.

During the meeting, it was confirmed that the school would provide regional policy experts to analyze films with attendees, forming a discussion of ideas on the content of the film.

The Memorial Museum appreciates the importance of this collaboration, bearing in mind that the thousands of students who make up UASD in the field of political science will have a space at their disposal in which they can discuss topics of interest to the state and expand knowledge in the interest of future generations.

He thanked the school’s presence and its Director, Adonis Martín, for opening a channel for the Foundation to continue expanding its mission in education and for students and youth to access spaces that allow them to expand their knowledge.
