Miss Universe R’Bonney Gabriel relinquishes her Miss USA title

C8News (01.28.2023).- On January 14, American R’Bonney Gabriel was crowned the most beautiful woman in the Miss Universe contest, which was held in New Orleans, USA, and became the ninth winner of this event for her country.

R’Bonney Gabriel was crowned Miss Universe 2022 with the mission to be the face of the new phase of the organization focused on advocating for gender equality and women’s rights.

Texas Rep. and Filipino descent, R’Bonney Gabriel is a 28-year-old eco-conscious fashion designer, model, and sewing instructor with a passion for life. She attributes her opportunistic outlook to her upbringing immersed in the arts, sports, and travel.

During the competition, Gabriel was crowned by his predecessor, the Indian Harnaz Sandu, with the new Force for Good crown (Force for Good in Spanish), which contains 993 precious stones and a 45.14-carat sapphire.

Valued at US$5.3 million, it is the most expensive crown in the competition’s 71-year history, which also gave him the first band made from recyclable materials.

Reason for resignation

Days after her coronation, R’Bonney learned of the obligations she had to fulfill as the new Miss World, and due to her extensive schedule, the model decided to give up one of her crowns.

According to international media, Gabriel has withdrawn from the title of Miss USA, which he obtained on October 4, 2022, and Morgan Romano will be the new representative of that country and with this title.

With the resignation of her Miss USA crown, R’Bonney Gabriel has made it clear that she will continue as Miss Universe and will 100% fulfill her obligations and commitments as Miss World.
