Mexicans will already be able to travel to the UK, after the British government removed them from its red list due to the risk of infection from Covid-19.
From October 11, Mexicans traveling to the UK will be able to arrive without the need to quarantine in hotels, according to the statement.
What are the benefits for Mexicans traveling to the UK?
Travelers who have been fully vaccinated with the program recognized by the authorities will not have to submit a negative Covid-19 test, or take two tests after arriving in England, according to the BBC.
Recognized vaccines are: Oxford / AstraZeneca, Pfizer BioNTech, Moderna or Janssen.
Those who have not been vaccinated or the program is not recognized by the UK, will have to quarantine for 10 days and mandatory PCR tests.
Previously, vaccination certificates from Mexico were not part of the recognition of vaccine certification in the UK.
With this said, only seven countries remain on the red list of territories at risk for Covid-19, including Venezuela, Peru, Panama, Haiti, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic and Colombia.
In addition to Mexico, 46 other countries have exited the list of restrictions such as Chile, Brazil, Costa Rica, Cuba, Paraguay and Uruguay.
