The arrival of the first cruise with foreign visitors to downtown Da Nang gave another sign that this type of tourism is making a comeback in Vietnam.
The five-star French ship Le Lape’rouse, with more than 200 international tourists on board, docked Sunday in that city’s port to show travelers the natural landscapes of Da Nang and the ancient city of Hoi An in Quang Nam province. .
According to the deputy director of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, Huynh Thi Huong Lan, citing The Voice of Vietnam, the arrival of the cruise ship is a good sign of the recovery of domestic tourism, in particular, and the country in general. .
Last Wednesday, another five-star cruise ship, the Mekong Princess, carrying tourists from New Zealand, docked at the port of Ninh Kieu, in the southern Vietnamese city of Can Tho.
The CEO of Fit Princess, Jiang Huang Hai, said that for the first time, a boat of this type, also manufactured in Vietnam, brought foreign vacationers to this city.
The cruise ship takes an eight-day trip from Ho Chi Minh City along the Mekong River, with the aim of introducing tourists to the provinces and cities of the delta, and will end its journey in Cambodia’s Siem Reap province.
