The level of United put them away from the previous third-favorite, Chelsea, who was demoted to the fifth on 25/1. Tottenham is the fourth favorite.
Team spokesman Callum Wilson: “It has been an odd season in the Premier League, with surprising results in what appears to be a daily occurrence.
“Less than three weeks ago, Solskjaer was the 2-1 favorite to be the first coach to be sacked in the Premier League.
“In an unbelievable turn – United are now favorites and close to City in bookmakers. Can they catch up with them and Liverpool? Nearly a quarter of the gamblers think so.”
