Taken from PL Former president and candidate Luis Inacio Lula da Silva emerged this Tuesday with real chances of winning the first round of elections on October 2 in Brazil, according to an opinion poll.

The study by the Institute for Intelligence Research and Strategic Consulting (IPEC, formerly Ibope) revealed that Lula fluctuated 1 percentage point upwards and now displays 48 percent of total voting intent in the stimulated investigation (with candidate names provided).

The total vote for all other candidates is 44 percent and in valid nominations, white and idle, the Labor Party (PT) presidential flag-bearer shows 52 percent of favouritism.

For his part, far-right leader Jair Bolsonaro, who is running for re-election from the Liberal Party, shows 31 percent of voting intentions.

They are followed by former Minister Ciro Gomez of the Democratic Action Party, who added six percent, and Senator Simon Tebet (Brazilian Democratic Movement) showing five.

Moreover, Senator Soraya Thronic (Union of Brazil) and political researcher Felipe Davila (Partido Novo) appear at one percent respectively. Other contenders for power do not register. The margin of error in the poll is two points, increase or decrease.

In the previous poll, published on September 19, Lula received 47 percent, followed by Bolsonaro (31), Cerro (seven) and Tibet (four).

Others added one percent each or less. The total votes of all opponents (44 percent) was lower than Lula’s stated voting intentions.

This difference is within the margin of error, that is, there was uncertainty about the need or not to hold the second round, scheduled for October 30.

The investigation heard three thousand and eight people on September 25 and 26. The margin of error is two percentage points of more or less, given the 95 percent confidence level.

An investigation by the site last weekend showed that Lula’s feature has grown numerically in the last nine elective inquiries about national importance.

The former president’s campaign insists on encouraging voters to vote on Sunday and thus determining victory in the first round.

“We are one step away from victory on October 2. A little missing. In these few days left, it is necessary to work to win the votes of all those who love democracy,” Lula said at a party held yesterday in Sao Paulo with artists and intellectuals.
