Former President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva asked on Monday in Fortaleza, the capital of the state of Ceará (northeast), that all democrats seek unity for the good of Brazil mired in political crisis.
The founder of the Workers’ Party (PT) wrote on the social network Twitter of the meeting he held there: “The democrats of this country take the responsibility and the challenge of salvaging civility in Brazilian politics for the benefit of Brazil.” Senator Tasso Jreissati.
Sources close to the meeting indicated that Lula and Jreissati also discussed strategies aimed at the 2022 elections and ways to confront Jair Bolsonaro’s government.
