“Listen to the story he told us”: Netflix will broadcast the long-awaited series about Enrique and Megan

London, December 1 – “When the stakes are so high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear the story we’re telling?” his wife.

The first clip of the highly anticipated documentary has aired ahead of its premiere next week, just as the British royal family engages in a new race conflict.

Since Harry and Meghan stepped down from their royal roles two years ago and moved to California, they have criticized the British monarchy, including accusations of racism, sparking a rift with the rest of the family, most notably her father. Henry King Charles and his older brother, Prince William.

The last time Harry and Meghan opened up about their relationship with the rest of the royal family in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, it plunged the institution into its biggest crisis in recent memory, and the royals will fear more damning revelations.

The timing of the trailer and documentary couldn’t be better for Netflix, since Guillermo and his wife Catalina are currently in Boston and Buckingham Palace is embroiled in a racial dispute involving Guillermo’s godmother.

“Henry and Meghan,” the streaming service said via Twitter. The accompanying trailer shows never-before-seen photos of the royal couple in black and white, and also one of them in an official engagement with Guillermo and Catalina, with all four looking straight forward.

Enrique is heard to say in the trailer that “no one sees what happens behind closed doors”. He was later shown saying, “I had to do everything I could to protect my family.”

At the end Harry is shown throwing his head back as Meghan wipes away tears.

Although no official release date has been set for the six-part documentary, it was widely reported by the media that it will be broadcast on 8 December.

Netflix said the series would “share the other side of their high-profile love story” and explore “the challenges that led them to feel compelled to step back from their full-time roles at the enterprise”.
