The president of the Mexican Football Association, Yon de Luisa, has announced that Mexico’s chances of being at home in the 2026 World Cup final are very slim.
De Luisa said in a press conference during the presentation of the new sponsors of the Mexican national team that the final match will be held in the United States.
“In terms of the North American final, it will be in the US, I feel, that’s how it was discussed, it will be the semi-finals and the final in the US. Of course Gianluca Infantino reserves the right to make the decisions in the end, but in our calculations, we will be in the group stage.”
On the other hand, Yon de Luisa highlighted the happiness of the Russian Football Federation to obtain three stadiums for the World Cup, in addition to the fight that took place everywhere on the field.
“We’re happy, it’s been hard work for six years, and it hasn’t been easy, given all the requirements, it seems to me the first time the fight has been on the pitches as it was, with 23 pitches competing for 16 spots, arriving just before night, It is an example of the commitment that was in North America.
