Airline Jet2.com and its associated tour operator Jet2holidays announced last Saturday that Add 25,000 places (Back and forth) between the UK and Lanzarote for next winter specifically February and March 2025.
As detailed in a statement from the airline, which is already the main British tour operator in the archipelago, the increase in seats will mean more than 13,000 more tourists are likely to arrive than previously expected, with flights being added from five of Jet2’s bases in the Anglo-Saxon country: Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Manchester and NewcastleThese five British cities will add additional flights that will connect to the Canary Islands airports of Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote.
In addition, the increase in seats announced by the airline is joined by the launch of winter flights from its new base at Bournemouth Airport, which was introduced days ago.
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have highlighted that with this move, the next move will be: “The most ambitious winter ever” The company has a total of “2.25 million seats on offer” in both directions, with a peak of “225 weekly flights” in the peak winter season.
In statements included in the press release, the company’s CEO, Steve Heapy, confirmed that the “attraction” that customers feel towards the islands is driving them to “increase our program again in the archipelago.”
