Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi pays an official visit to Cuba – Escambray

During his stay, the distinguished visitor will hold talks with the Cuban authorities and carry out other activities of interest to him.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, the largest of the Antilles, said that the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, will pay an official visit to Cuba starting on Wednesday, June 14.

The source adds that the distinguished visitor will hold talks with the Cuban authorities during his stay and carry out other activities of interest to him.

Cuba and Iran remain united by relations of brotherly friendship that have lasted over time for nearly 45 years since their re-establishment on August 8, 1979.

The ties between the two parties are deeply marked by the imprint of the historical leaders of both countries, Fidel Castro and Ayatollah Khomeini, respectively.

During more than four decades, bilateral relations have achieved achievements in terms of coordination and political exchanges in areas such as the transfer of Cuban biotechnology products and Iranian nanotechnology, among other areas of common interest.
