Tlaxcala, Tlax, January 22, 2022. – The Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) in Tlaxcala has opened new facilities to provide comfortable spaces for the rest of the residents carrying out their internship at General Hospital de Zona (HGZ) No.1 in the state.
The new areas of the medical residences will house resident physicians studying emergency medical-surgical specialties, internal medicine, general surgery, gynecology and obstetrics in the hospital. In addition, the hospital is also a sub-specialty of Family Medicine and Anesthesia.
The President of IMSS in Tlaxcala, Dr. Julio Gutierrez Mendez, accompanied by H, the advisory board of delegations and medical staff, cut the opening ribbon.
With this redesign and expansion, the institute seeks to strengthen the spaces so that health scholars can take breaks between shifts and can study in their spare time.
New spaces provide more convenience for residents which will lead to better learning and performance in favor of family medicine work and specialist practices at IMSS in Tlaxcala, contributing to the training of new health professionals in serving patients.
