Lyon, May 25, 2021. – The State Institute of Culture, through the Central State Library and the Mexican Academy of Sciences, will present the virtual conference “Physics of superheroes: The Justice League” By Dr. Jesus Sanz Filila on May 27 at 6:00 PM.
Science has a large presence in the stories of superheroes and villains, and many of them come from scientific knowledge or take advantage of technological advances to improve their power.
Based on director Zack Snyder’s movie Justice League, a team of metahumans unite to form a league of superheroes to protect the world from terrible threats, this conference comes in which we will take a look through science at the potential and impossible powers of heroes and villains, this time the mission will be to protect us from ignorance and help us To understand the laws of physics.
Dr. Sainz is the Coordinator of the Physical Engineering Program at the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juarez (UACJ). He completed Masters studies in Physics from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and at New Mexico State University (NMSU) where he completed PhD studies in Physics.
His current research topic deals with the hadron structure in quantum dynamics of chromium. At the national level, he has participated as a promoter of science in various discussions and is President-elect of the American Association of Physics Educators Mexico Chapter (AAPT-MX) and belongs to the Radiation Physics Department of the Mexican Physical Society.
