Institute of Agricultural Sciences (ICap) affiliated to Autonomous University of Hidalgo (UAEH) The Otome Workshop is presented with the aim of preserving this language and is taught by a professor specializing in indigenous languages from the University of Cultures of the State of Hidalgo (UICEH).
The course is carried out in a framework International Mother Language Day, under the default method, so that those interested can contact from anywhere in the state, it lasts for 12 weeks, beginning on February 1 and ending on April 26, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm; Classes are broadcast from one of the classrooms in the ICAP “M” building.
The first workshop has 19 students and they intend to be able to do this every semester. Part of the course Linking the work of the highest house of studies in Hidalgo in cooperation with the Latin American Network for the Defense of Vital Cultural Heritage.
This workshop examines the history and context of the Otome language, the basics of learning this indigenous language, as well as its alphabet and writing.
