During a meeting in this city, as part of Moncada’s visit with the Nicaraguan delegation, Al-Maliki thanked the authorities of the Sandinista government for attending.
He pointed out that Nicaragua is the first government to visit Palestine in support and solidarity with this people in the face of the current situation, and stated that it is an example of the historical relationship of brotherhood and brotherhood between the two countries.
He explained that daily incursions by armed settlers and Israeli occupation forces into the West Bank are increasing, leading to the killing of hundreds and the illegal arrest of thousands.
In this sense, he added that Israel intends to forcefully displace and annihilate the Palestinian people in order to destroy their independent, free and sovereign state.
He stressed that the political solution to end the status quo must be based on negotiations between Palestine and Israel until recognition of the State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital is reached.
For his part, the head of Nicaraguan diplomacy, after conveying the greetings of President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosarios Murillo, expressed his solidarity with the families of the victims of the conflict and renewed his support for the Palestinian cause.
The meeting was also attended by Minister and Presidential Advisor for Policies and International Relations Orlando Tardensilla and Member of the Board of Directors of the National Assembly (Parliament) Wilfredo Navarro.
The meeting was also attended by Nicaragua’s Ambassador to Palestine, Roberto Morales Hernandez, and officials from the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
The Nicaraguan Foreign Minister’s program includes meetings with Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh, President Mahmoud Abbas, and other officials.
