The Permanent Symposium on Environment and Society seeks to promote knowledge dialogue on the complex relationship between society and nature in its many aspects, production processes, cultural practices, various forms of protection, restoration, resilience, and degradation of ecosystems due to activities, as well as the impact of these processes on communities and individuals.
Experts from various disciplines of the humanities, social, natural and health sciences, who analyze and discuss the relationship between society and nature from various theoretical, methodological and empirical approaches, as well as experiences of the occurrence of social and environmental problems, participate.
The symposium will cover annual topics and will start in the second quarter of each year. From May 2023 to April 2024, the theme will be “Environment, Health and Society”, and its aim will be to make research and advocacy visible and disseminated that allow (re)thinking actions to improve living conditions in biodiverse environments.
