Spanish Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso (Alpine) was expected this Thursday ahead of the British Grand Prix and with his car performing at Silverstone, a track that “usually gives a lot of action on the track.”

“It’s one of the best weekends, the scene of the great races. The Formula 1 community is based in the UK, and there is a great deal of knowledge about our sport. “I feel a lot of respect and Silverstone usually does a lot of work on the track,” the Spaniard told an official press conference.

The double world champion, who is also a two-time champion in the English event, was keen to see the Alps perform after three urban tracks and with the package of improvements they brought in for Round 10 of the World Championships, after recent reliability issues especially on Sundays.

“I am curious to see how we can perform after three street circuits. We go back to a more normal position and see how we do. I am optimistic,” he finished.
