Evel Knievel’s iconic Cadillac Eldorado wagon is up for auction in the UK

This one-of-a-kind Cadillac Eldorado buggy, previously owned by legendary motorcycle stuntman Evel Knievel, is now up for sale at auction in the UK. This 1972 Cadillac Eldorado was originally a black coupe, but was converted into a wagon by the American Sunroof Company. This Cadillac is one of eight cars to receive this wagon conversion.

The car was originally owned by PB Burnett and was later sold to Evel Knievel in 1975. Knievel, who was a famous stuntman at the time, had the car painted white to match his motorcycles and military uniform. The Cadillac also features a unique “1-1” license plate secured by Knievel’s son and first wife.

Having belonged to the Knievel family, the Cadillac was exported to the UK in the mid-1990s and stored in a barn until recently. The car needs some repairs, including reconnecting the carburetor and passenger side cylinder head. Despite its association with celebrities, the auction house estimates the Cadillac could sell for between £8,000 and £12,000.

This custom Cadillac Eldorado features an 8.2-liter V8 engine, a wood-wrapped dashboard and steering wheel, and red leather seats. It is 5.64 meters long and weighs about 2,200 kilograms, making it a great car for the buyer’s money.
