European Social Economy Awards 2023

The European Social Economy Awards, awarded every two years, organized by Social Economy Europe, aim to increase the visibility of social economy, in order to continue to put our needs and potentials on the public agenda.

Likewise, they want to be an inspiration to other social economy agents and to citizens aspiring to become entrepreneurs, activists, and agents of change.

In this year’s edition there are four categories: Social Innovation, Skills, Go Green, and Digitization.

The European Social Economy Awards target social economy companies and institutions, such as cooperatives, that are headquartered in an EU member state. The Awards have a pan-European focus and are also open to initiatives from the Western Balkans, the Eastern Partnership, the European Free Trade Association countries, the United Kingdom, Turkey and the Southern Mediterranean countries.

Applications for each of the categories can be submitted before August 31, through This is a recipe book.

A jury composed of social economists, researchers and representatives of EU institutions will select three finalists for each category. A member of each organization selected as a finalist will be invited to the award ceremony, on November 14, in San Sebastian.
