Elton John He gave the final concert of Britain’s legendary Glastonbury Festival last night, capping off the annual extravaganza with what may be his last performance in the UK. The show was watched by more than 7 million viewers on the BBC. The number was three times what the owners were Paul McCartney in 2022.
The performance of the flamboyant British singer came after two sunny days at the famous music festival in the southwest of England, where tens of thousands of music fans tuned in to the music. Guns N’ Roses, Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, Lizzo, Lewis Capaldi and others.
“Oh my God. I never thought I’d be playing Glastonbury. And here I am.”Dressed in a shiny gold jacket and tinted glasses, John said at the start of his first show at Worthy Farm.
“It’s a very special and emotional night for me because it could be my last show in England and the UK.”

He started the set with “Pinball Wizard,” which he performed in the rock opera “Tommy,” before performing some of his biggest hits including “Candle in the Wind,” “Crocodile Rock,” and “I’m Still Standing.”
He dedicated “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” to his “friend” and “inspiration” George Michaelwho died in 2016, would have turned 60 on Sunday.

John thanked his fans for “52 years of incredible love and loyalty.” “It was an incredible journey and I had the best time possible. I will never forget them, they are in my head, heart and soul”said the artist.
The 76-year-old star is ending his stellar career with a farewell world tour, having played the US in May before playing one last show on July 8 in Stockholm.
