Cubans arrested for dumping toxic waste in Miami

Miami law enforcement has arrested two Cubans for dumping toxic waste in a rural area.

Twin brothers Justo and Juan González Osorio are the protagonists of this event. Both, 43, threw various toxic substances on April 6 in Redlands, an unincorporated area of Miami-Dade County.

According to AmericaTeVe Miami, the illegally dumped chemicals contained arsenic, cadmium, chromium, copper, nickel, lead, mercury, and zinc. In all cases they are materials of a high level of contamination of the soil of that region of Florida.

Something similar happened last February. After that, Kobe was arrested for dumping contaminated waste near a lake located in Miami-Dade County. This was the second time the defendant had carried out such an action in just seven months.

Witness registration

The person involved in the events is Giulio Barreto, 51, who was recorded by a witness during the commission of the crime. Of course, he had never imagined that someone would be near that area of the lake, let alone recorded him dumping toxic waste.

The witness’ video went viral at the time due to the conversation between the perpetrator and the person who filmed it. “You know this is illegal, right?” ; Pareto replied, “Are you of the same ‘elite’ as me and are you going to fire me?

Such events have been repeated many times in Florida, especially in the past year. In November 2022, for example, another Cuban was arrested in Miami-Dade for littering in a prohibited location.

The police watched the place where the suspect threw garbage with complete impunity for several months, until he was caught in the act. Unbelievable but true, the detainee dumped the garbage from his work in his home.
