The Veracruz State Congress received, through the coordination of social communication, archives, library and press library, a group of 22 students from the Faculty of Communication Sciences and Technologies of the University of Veracruzana (UV), who got acquainted with the facilities of the seat of the legislative power, the functions in which it is exercised, the powers of deputies, and the political composition of the legislature current.
In the first place, led by the teacher of the educational experience of the Mexican political system, Alma Saray Rosselló Luna, the students spoke with the Head of Social Liaison Coordination of Congress, Guillermo Núñez Huesca, about the tasks that are carried out on a daily basis in the media coverage of the activities of deputies and deputies, as well as the features that make up this administrative field.
Afterwards, they toured the different areas that make up the State Congress, such as the José María Mata Library, the Sebastian Lerdo de Tejada Auditorium, the archives and the offices of the popular representatives.
In place of formal sessions, congressional staff emphasized the collegiate composition of the current LXVI Legislature and provided details regarding the processes involved in approving a law or ordinance, as well as the appointments made by the various state entities.
In addition, they were informed of the names and ideas inscribed on the Wall of Honor at the venue of the formal sessions and their particular justifications.
