Abbas signed the decree-law that provides for the holding of each of the presidential elections in the presence of the head of the Central Elections Committee, Hanna Nasir.

The Wafa news agency reported that the president asked all the Algerian National Party’s apparatus to start preparations for the democratic process that would take place in all locations in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

We are happy with the positive environment around the elections, which we want to be a door to complete our democratic life and unify the nation on the basis of truth, freedom and social justice, as confirmed in previous days, Prime Minister of ANP Muhammad Shtayyeh.

Last September, after several decades of disagreements, representatives of all Palestinian organizations, including Hamas, Fatah and Islamic Jihad, agreed to overcome differences and form a united front to defend the rights that Israel violates.

They also decided at the meeting to support the vote, which, according to Shtayyeh, will strengthen the battle for historical claims.

Al-Quds newspaper quoted the prime minister as saying that we are ready to use all our efforts and capabilities to hold the long-awaited elections.

Shtayyeh said that the voices would encourage the struggle to end the Zionist occupation and establish a sovereign homeland on the borders that were in effect before the 1967 war, and to obtain the return of refugees who decide to do so. The newspaper published in Jerusalem expanded. .
