The five members of Colombia’s Colsanitas team held their first training session in Turin, Italy over the Davis Cup dispute.
Colombia was placed in Group E of the Davis Cup Finals along with Italy and the United States. This is the most important event for the men’s team and national representatives along with representatives of 17 other countries.
Calino Alejandro Falla, captain of the national team, divided the first day in Turin into two working sessions. In the first round, Robert Farah and Christian Rodriguez appeared on the field, while Daniel Galan and Nicolas Mejia arrived in the second period.
In the afternoon, Galán and Mía repeated and performed by Juan Sebastian Cabal and Nicolas Barrientos as well.
Daniel Gallan, the country’s main racket, noted how special it is to represent the country once again in this competition. “I’m so happy to be back playing the Davis Cup, it’s something different from what we experience every day and I’m really enjoying it a lot,” he said.
“Being the number one racket is an honor and a pride. I hope the whole team will go as far as possible and the most important thing is to leave the name of Colombia very high,” he said.
Colombian side Colsanitas will continue its preparations for the Davis Cup Finals on Tuesday, as they will make their debut next Saturday, November 27, against Italy. Then, on Sunday, November 28, he will face the United States.
Then the semi-finals (3-4 December) and the final (5 December) will be played.
