Benols promotes science clubs.

Girls and boys from communities close to Industrias Peñoles operating units participate in different programs designed to support them and complement their school education with recreational activities. The goal is to contribute to their training through different initiatives to support the improvement of school performance.

In Laguna, through the Mineral Museum, Pinoles has implemented two Science Explorers Clubs, for children ages 4 to 7 and 8 to 11, that meet two Saturdays of each month, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The aim of these clubs is to foster children’s interest and curiosity in understanding some of the phenomena of the natural world, as well as to enhance their approach to science and technology issues through observation and experimentation activities.

At each meeting, participants conduct dynamics, experiments and a guided tour of the museum. In December, the little ones will give a presentation on the topic that most interests them during the year; meanwhile, the adults will present a project to demonstrate the learning they have built.

Miniclub will meet on: September 7, October 12, November 9 and December 7.

The Kids Club meets for ages 8-11 on: August 31, September 21, October 19, November 16 and December 14.

These clubs are free and open to more children to join throughout the year. Parents are simply asked to contact the Mineral Museum at 871-729-5500 ext. 7030 and 7671, where they will be provided with further information.
