Moscow (Sputnik) – The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced retaliatory measures for the sanctions imposed by the European Union and the United Kingdom on the country.

The memo highlights, “The Government of the Republic of Belarus has decided to ban the import of a series of goods coming from countries that apply illegal sanctions against Belarus in the country. The corresponding decree will be signed as soon as possible.”

Minsk also increased its list of undesirables.

“The lists of people who have entered the territory of the Republic of Belarus and the State of the Federation have been expanded [Unión de Rusia y Bielorrusia] It is undesirable, from countries that systematically discriminate against civil servants, journalists and representatives of Belarusian public organizations,” the text confirms.

Moreover, “in response to unlawful restrictions in relation to the Belarusian air sector, on the basis of unfair competition, our country will take similar measures in relation to airlines in the countries of the European Union and the United Kingdom.”
