The National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) has accredited Dr. Begonia Quintana, Assistant Physician in the Anesthesia and Resuscitation Service at the Gregorio Marañón General Hospital of Madrid, as Professor of Health Sciences. This is the first accreditation awarded by ANECA to a Professor of Anesthesiology at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). With a degree in medicine and surgery from the University of the Basque Country and a specialist in anesthesiology and resuscitation at Gregorio Marañón Hospital, Begonia Quintana has performed shifts at foreign centers, such as Steward Hospital in Boston, US, and has been involved in NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) projects focused on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases Cardiac, especially cardiac remodeling. Quintana is an Assistant Physician in the Department of Anesthesia and Postoperative Care in Cardiac Surgery in the Department of Anesthesia and Resuscitation in Gregorio Maragnon Hospital. PhD with honors from the Autonomous University of Madrid, and is Associate Professor of Health Sciences in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Complutense University School of Medicine in Madrid.
