The goal is to provide readers with a perspective on the issues currently being analyzed in favor of the conservation and rational use of natural resources.
The academic community and biology enthusiasts can now easily access research results thanks to the availability of the book “Micro- and Macro-Diversity: Cutting-Edge Studies in Mexico” on Google Play. Produced by researchers from the Faculty of Biological Sciences of the Universidad Juárez del Estado de Durango (UJED), affiliated with the Gómez Palacio Campus, in collaboration with the UJED Editorial Board, this book provides an in-depth and up-to-date view of Mexico's biodiversity.
Cristina García de la Peña, researcher and academic at FCB UJED and co-author of the publication, said the book brings together original works on genetic and species biodiversity at the macro and micro levels. It also includes research on the ecological, physiological and morphometric aspects of animal and plant species, especially in the north of the country.
The researcher highlighted that this publication is available for download on the Google Play platform and represents a compendium of cutting-edge studies addressing micro- and macrodiversity in the biological context of Mexico. The goal is to provide readers with a perspective on the issues currently being analyzed in favor of the conservation and rational use of natural resources. He stated that “researchers from the College of Biological Sciences contributed important research that reveals the country's biological wealth.”
García de la Peña stressed the importance of democratizing access to scientific research, allowing anyone with a mobile device to explore these cutting-edge studies directly from the palm of their hand. He pointed out that this initiative represents an important step towards spreading knowledge and creating bridges between academia and the general public.
With an emphasis on accessibility and dissemination, the Faculty of Biological Sciences at UJED demonstrates its commitment to expanding knowledge and promoting the importance of biodiversity in Mexico.
