Mexico City (apro). – Louis Manuel N., President of the Union of Employees and Workers of the Independent University of Nayarit (Sitwan), was arrested due to his alleged responsibility in the crimes of embezzlement, improper exercise of jobs and damage to things, stressing the expense of the educational institution.
And the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Nayarit announced, in a statement, that members of the Criminal Investigation Agency had completed two arrest warrants against Louis Manuel N. First, with an amount of nearly 7 million pesos due to his alleged responsibility in a fire in the House of Studies building, which gives public archives.
According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Independent University of Nayarit has initiated a criminal case against the detainee and five other culprits already sentenced for the fire.
The trade union leader was also accused of embezzlement and improper exercise of jobs at the expense of the academic institution, for an approximate amount of 17 million pesos.
The Attorney General clarified that the Supreme Auditor of Nayarit State (ASEN) had filed a complaint about these crimes and that the investigation file was prepared in cooperation with the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF) of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit.
