Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters, Jaquind, The usual autumn plenary session will be held on Friday at which it will elect its new members, who will be able to join the institution once their appointment has been accepted.
As reported by the Academy in a note, at This meeting to be held in the Parador de Argómaniz (lava), Jakiunde will also define and plan its next lines of business and projects.
The Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters began its journey in the fall of 2007 as a space for reflection, diagnosis and advice on great scientific, artistic, literary and social challenges, with the aim of establishing itself as a forum of reference for the Basque community.
Currently, 101 members are part of Jakiunde, selected for their merits and the excellence of their work, who form a multidisciplinary team with extensive experience in many different areas of knowledge, creativity, research, art and thought.
In 2017, with the aim of adding intergenerational insight, Jaquind decided to recruit young talents as “Counterpart Members”.
They all chose to work together, to present their perception of the challenges of the future, as well as to promote the sciences, arts and literature in society, with particular attention to ensuring that the next generation is best prepared to face the future.
Jakyound also develops many knowledge-spreading activities targeting the community and others specifically for younger children. EFE
