Why were the games transferred from Alpha Museum to UANL?
The Alpha Planetarium, located in the municipality of San Pedro Garza García, was opened to the public in October 1978. This park was special, because it had a huge screen showing various films or documentaries of Monterrey families.
This park closed its doors on September 4, 2020, because in February 2017, the pavilion suffered a fire that resulted in damage to the upper part of the fence. Later, it was reported that the property would be demolished.
This pavilion is famous for the huge stained glass window “El Universo” made by the Mexican painter Rufino Tamayo.
