A Palestinian minister condemns the Israeli attacks on hospitals in Gaza

In a statement, Al-Kaila urged the international community to take urgent measures to stop the aggression against the sector’s facilities and workers in that coastal enclave where more than two million people live.

The official Palestinian news agency, Wafa, reported on Monday that “occupation aircraft launched a series of violent attacks, similar to a scorched earth policy.”

He pointed out that the raids caused massacres in the Jabalia and Al-Shati camps, where dozens of people were killed and wounded, in addition to significant material damage.

The source explained that since Saturday, Israeli aircraft have destroyed at least four mosques and three banks, in addition to many buildings.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) noted shortly before that “more than 17,500 families, a total of more than 123,538 people, have been internally displaced” in that area due to the attacks.

He pointed out that more than 400,000 Palestinians were affected in just two days due to damage to water, sanitation and hygiene services.

This morning, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant ordered the imposition of a complete siege on the Gaza Strip.

“I have ordered a complete blockade on the Gaza Strip. There will be no electricity, no food, no fuel, everything is closed. We are fighting animals and we will act accordingly,” Galant stressed, quoted by the online newspaper The Times of Israel.

Shortly ago, Israeli army spokesman, Brigadier General Daniel Hagari, announced on Monday the mobilization of 300,000 reserve soldiers during the past 48 hours, amid preparations for a ground invasion against the Gaza Strip.

Hajary also threatened the entire leadership of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), following its attack on the country last Saturday, which led to the outbreak of hostilities.

According to the latest reports, more than 1,200 Palestinians and Israelis have died in the past 48 hours.
