Barcelona is the most valuable club in the world, according to Forbes. The most prestigious financial publication estimates the value of the Barcelona entity at 3,996 million euros, which puts it in first place for the first time in its history.
Forbes’ annual report looks at television deals, player contracts and club expenses, among other factors, to determine the value of each club.
In the last 16 years, Real Madrid and Manchester United have shared first place
Barcelona top the ranking with 20 clubs ahead of Real Madrid (3.987 million euros) and Manchester United, who have monopolized the first place on this list for the past 16 years, five of them with Madrid at the helm.
The entity managed by Florentino Perez remains the most prominent in terms of commercial income, including highly lucrative ads or sponsorships such as his shirt, the most valuable jersey in football or his contracts with Adidas.

According to this magazine, the value of soccer clubs has increased by an average of 30% in the past two years, despite the pandemic, because “investors see untapped potential in the global appeal of the sport.”
