SALTILLO, (27/08/24 (More / IA).- The State Council for Science and Technology (Coecyt) announced the activities of the 2nd International Forum Coahuila 2024, which will be held under the theme “Clarifying local actions in global trends”.
This event, which will start on Wednesday at 9:00 am, will bring together international experts to discuss critical topics such as artificial intelligence, water management and electric mobility.
In a press conference, Mario Valdes Garza, General Manager of Coecyt, explained that the forum is organized in collaboration with the Collaborative Innovation Networks Consortium and the Coahuila Node of the Global MX Network. The main objective is to promote international cooperation in the development of joint technological solutions, and to exchange experiences to address global challenges.
The Forum will begin with the conference “MX Global Network, a Vision for Mexico”, given by Dr. Edgar Antonio Valdés Porras, Coordinator of the MX Global Network Points.
Among the highlights of the event are a panel discussion on electric mobility, which is key to competitiveness, and another on the impact of artificial intelligence on the science, technology and innovation ecosystem.
The forum continues on Thursday with a panel discussion on water and environmental resource management, with the participation of national and international experts. In addition, strategies for linking science and technology through the nodes and chapters of the global MX network will be discussed.
Valdés Garza highlighted the importance of this event in clarifying local actions with global trends, especially in the context of geo-economic change driven by convergence.
The forum will also serve as a platform for knowledge exchange and the creation of networks that strengthen the scientific and technological ecosystem in Coahuila.
