Unne: Exact Sciences has introduced new volumes of its institutional journals.

By presenting the new volumes of the journals Facena and ExiTTec: Keys to Development, the Faculty of Exact, Natural and Surveying Sciences of UNNE maintains its institutional commitment to enhancing community access to the knowledge generated in research, transfer and analysis activities. Extension.

Facena and ExiTTec: Keys to Development are two publications that aim to achieve the institutional goal of expanding the spaces of communication between the academic and scientific community and society.

The two journals were relaunched last year, with the aim of maintaining their periodicity and becoming an open space for publishing research, technological development experiences and university extension projects.

Based on this, the new volumes of the aforementioned magazines for 2024 were recently presented within the framework of the Unne Book Fair, thus fulfilling the hypothesis of their periodicity.

Sonia Marinho, Editorial Director of Facena Magazine, presented Volume 34 No. 1 (2024), while Maria Ines Pisarello, Editorial Director of ExiTTec, presented Volume 9 No. 1 (2024) of this magazine.

They stressed from the Faculty of Exact, Natural and Surveying Sciences that these journals constitute an important tool for the community of teachers, researchers, graduates and students of this academic unit, but also for other members of Unne, scientific institutions and other universities. who can publish their articles in them.

Regarding ExiTTec: Keys to Development, Pisarello commented that it is celebrating a decade since its first issue in 2014, and in its relaunch last year it moved forward with new regulations, a renewed editorial team, and a higher goal of adopting indexing standards.

With the new issue, the goal of the journal is achieved and the work of a large editorial team involved in the editorial work is consolidated.

Volume 9, due to be published on August 31, includes a special section containing a series of articles reviewing the results of highly relevant extension projects developed by the College in recent years.

Meanwhile, Facena magazine is one of Unne’s oldest publications, approaching 50 years of age, having been created in 1976.

Viviana Griselda Solis Neiva, Secretary of Research and Postgraduate Studies of the Faculty and also the institutional responsible for this publication, highlighted the importance of this academic unit having a distinguished body for scientific publishing, which is why the re-release of Facena in 2023 is a transcendent milestone.

This fact, which will allow compliance with the requirements of the journal, as well as the measures implemented to achieve greater editorial quality, will contribute to strengthening the journal’s updating in accordance with international standards.

The reactivation and promotion of these institutional journals, which reinforce the thematic functions of the University, is carried out within the lines of action defined in the axes of the current management led by Dean Viviana Godoy Guglielmoni.

It is divided into sections: Guiding Experiences, Technological Innovation, and Technology Transfer.

In the Experimental Studies section, manuscripts are published on the thematic areas of education, social reinforcement and community intervention.
