WhatsApp has added important new features to its video calling. Now, Users have the ability to add more people to their calls, share the screen with audio, and highlight a specific speaker in video conferences with multiple participants.
Filters, effects, and more are only in beta. Here are the new tools already in the standard version:
- More people on video calls
With the latest WhatsApp update, users can now make video calls with up to 32 participants on any device.
- Screen sharing with audio
WhatsApp recently added a screen sharing option to its video calls. Previously, users could select the phone icon with an arrow in the video call menu to share their screen, but they couldn’t broadcast audio.
Now, WhatsApp has solved this problem. Meta stated that “This feature is ideal for watching videos with other people, allowing you to share audio through screen sharing.”
Another new feature that WhatsApp has included is the featured loudspeaker. With this option, users will be able to easily identify who is speaking, as the person speaking will be automatically highlighted and appear at the top of the screen. This tool is ideal for video conferences with multiple participants.
