China affirms its support for the Palestinian people’s cause

The newspaper “Paper” and news agencies published details of the ambassador’s meeting with Mahmoud Al-Aloul, deputy head of the Fatah movement and head of the reconciliation dialogue delegation, which took place during the period from July 21 to 23 in the capital.

Wang stressed that the conflict in Gaza has caused a major humanitarian disaster and that to resolve this historical injustice, it is necessary to adhere to the principle of “Palestinian ownership, Palestinian leadership and Palestinian governance.”

From Beijing’s point of view, the priority is to start from the fundamental interests of the Palestinian people, seek common ground while setting aside differences, and promote unity and reconciliation among the factions.

According to the advisor, this will help create the conditions necessary for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, independence and implementation of the “two-state solution.”

For his part, Mahmoud Al-Aloul expressed his gratitude to China for its efforts to promote internal reconciliation, stressing that the people of that country will never forget the “permanent and firm assistance” provided by the Asian giant over decades.

Representatives of 14 Palestinian factions held a reconciliation dialogue here and signed the Beijing Declaration the day before to end division and promote unity.

According to China’s position, the Palestinian issue is the core of the Middle East problem, and for this reason, Beijing has proposed a three-step approach to resolve this situation.

The first is to promote a comprehensive, permanent and sustainable ceasefire in the Gaza Strip as soon as possible, and to ensure access to humanitarian and relief aid.
