Hugo Chavez University of Health Sciences Opens “Contact Room” at Its Headquarters in Caracas – MPPS

MPPS Press.- The Hugo Chavez University of Health Sciences opened, on Friday, a “communication room” at its headquarters located in the Salvador Allende Latin American Medical School in Caracas.

The Minister of Popular Power for University Education, Sandra Oblitas, stated that this requirement was requested by university students via the Good Government 1X10 VenApp.

“What did the students ask of us? Access to information and communication tools, the ability to train using virtual tools and communication tools, as well as providing equipment and a computer for each student, we decided to create these rooms.” Oblitas confirmed.

Jonathan Duarte, a medical student, commented: “We are used to the issue of paper books, and now this comes to renew us, where we can connect in a very easy way, with access to the Internet or Wi-fi, wherever we are using our phones.”

For his part, the Dean of the University of California, Carlos Alvarado, said: “There is a new level of access, not only to bibliography, which is sometimes very expensive in the health sector, but also to technology, which is a global technology, which is a technology that is accessible to everyone, which will also benefit many other things, not only for study, but also for information in the university area.”

The “Contact Room” is a program of the Ministry of Popular Power for University Education (MPPEU) that allows university students to make conscious, rational and responsible use of new technologies, and also creates spaces for collective training to improve education as a state policy. Led by President Nicolás Maduro Moros.
