Iran’s Judiciary Chief Congratulates President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian, Says He Will Cooperate With New Government to Expand Social Justice
The head of the Iranian judiciary, Gholam Hossein Mohseni-Aii, stressed during a meeting held today, Tuesday, with Pezeshkian, that the body he heads is ready to cooperate with the elected government within the framework of the goals stipulated in the second phase of the Islamic Revolution, implementing public policies and in line with the convergence of the three forces to expand social justice.

Iran held the second round of early presidential elections on Friday, with reformist candidate Pezeshkian winning the majority of votes with 53.66%, becoming the country’s president-elect. His hardline rival Saeed Jalili got 44.34%.
The new president will replace Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, who was killed in a tragic helicopter crash on May 19 in the northwest of the country.
