Biden prosecutes immigrants with a new executive order in the United States

Biden announced this initiative from the White House in the context of the 12th anniversary of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which was implemented by the then government of Barack Obama on June 15, 2012.

It is one of the largest federal aid programs for immigrants since DACA was created and came to light less than five months before the Nov. 5 election.

But as the saying goes, “one is lime and one is sand,” the executive action came weeks after an order restricting asylum, bringing Biden’s immigration policies closer to those of his Republican predecessor, Donald Trump.

Administration officials said the current measure would provide legal status and protection to about 500,000 American families and about 50,000 immigrant children under the age of 21 who do not have citizenship and whose parent is married to a citizen of this country. Quoted from local media.

Currently, federal legislation stipulates that an undocumented person who enters the United States and marries one of its citizens must first apply for parole before seeking legal residency, but in the process will have to leave Union territory.

With the decision issued on Tuesday – which will benefit those who arrive before June 17, 2014 – these unregistered spouses will be able to apply for residency without having to leave the country and constitutes a fundamental change because it will keep families together, a prominent point in Biden’s election campaign that he wants To distance himself from Trump.

The Democratic President also said that his government will facilitate the process of granting work visas to foreign professionals who have recently graduated from higher education centers and who have a highly qualified job offer.
