TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA/Tampa Today) – The Stars and Stripes will face the Green and Yellows for the first time since 2018 in Orlando on Wednesday.
The United States Men’s National Soccer Team will play Brazil during the Allstate Continental Classic friendly match on June 12 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando at 7:00 PM ET.
The Allstate Continental Classic is an annual event in which the United States national team hosts a top-tier opponent from North, Central, or South America.
This year’s match will be a key part of the US team’s preparations for the 2024 Copa America, which will be held in the United States.
The last time the United States faced the five-time world champion was in 2018 during an international friendly match in which the United States lost 2-0.
Wednesday’s friendly also marks the United States’ first meeting at Camping World since January 1998, when it beat Sweden 1-0.
This will be the last international friendly match before the United States begins its official preparations for the 2024 Copa America, which begins on June 23.
