Breaking news | Russia prevents British boats from fishing in its waters
The Russian Duma has taken a decision to ban British vessels from fishing, including cod fishing, in Russian Arctic waters and along the coast of the Kola Peninsula.
This step comes due to Russia's cancellation of the 1956 agreement with the United Kingdom regarding fishing rights, in response to sanctions imposed by the British state. This was stated by Vyacheslav Volodin, Speaker of the Lower House of the Russian Parliament, during Wednesday's session.
