Are you looking to do something different this weekend? The Festival of Arts, Sciences and Humanities arrives in Leon – El Sol de Leon

Leon-Gto.- The Festival of Arts, Sciences and Humanities, organized by ENES Unidad León since 2016, will see its eighth edition as of Wednesday, April 24 and the activities will culminate on April 28. This event, which brings together the best of art, science and humanities, is the result of an unprecedented collaboration between various institutions in the region.

Since its inception, the festival has received invaluable support from the University of Guanajuato, the Center for Visual Research, the Guanajuato Cultural Forum, the State Institute of Culture of Guanajuato through the Central State Library of Huiberto Jiménez Moreno, the Municipal Government of León through the General Directorate of Municipal Education and the Secretary of Education of Guanajuato. Starting in 2018, Explora Science Center has joined this distinguished list of collaborators, enhancing the event's scientific offering.

The main objective of the Festival is to provide a wide-ranging cultural and scientific offer in Leon and San Miguel de Allende, targeting the entire population, with special emphasis on the most vulnerable sectors. Over the course of eight consecutive editions, the event has succeeded in strengthening its position as a meeting and learning space, providing an enriching experience for all attendees.

Through conferences, exhibitions, workshops and interactive activities, the festival was a unique opportunity to bring art, science and humanities closer to society. Moreover, its influence extended far beyond local borders, contributing to the cultural and educational development of the region.

In short, the Arts, Sciences and Humanities Festival is firmly established as an emblematic event in the cultural calendar of the region, thanks to the joint efforts of institutions committed to the dissemination of knowledge and culture.
