Moscow-. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told TV BRICS today that the expansion of BRICS has made the association “unequivocally stronger,” as confirmed by the first third of the Russian presidency.
At the end of a third of our Presidency, we can confirm that the decision to include new members, taken by the leaders of the first five ASEAN countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), has undoubtedly strengthened the Alliance and referred to the Vice President of Foreign Affairs.
“It has already been strengthened as an influential system of interaction, a key link in the emerging structure of the multipolar world,” Ryabkov said when asked about the impact of five more countries joining the BRICS in January 2024.
Moreover, he noted that at the end of the third of the Russian presidency, cooperation gained full momentum. “We are moving increasingly towards success. “I'm absolutely sure of that,” Ryabkov confirmed.
He concluded by saying: “I believe that the Kazan summit next October will represent the achievement of new horizons in interaction between the BRICS countries.”
Let us remember that the five new countries that joined the BRICS group in January of this year are Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia, and Iran.
