UK: Peel Ports Group announces tenders worth £750m for ports and logistics works

Port peel set It has launched a tender for two new frameworks covering a long-term program of construction works at its sites in United Kingdom and IrelandWith a total value of 750 million pounds sterling.

The port operator is seeking to appoint contractors for the two frameworks for a period of up to eight years, one covering general construction and the other marine construction.

The business covers construction projects across the Group's port portfolio in the UK and Ireland, including Port of Liverpool, Port of Heysham, Manchester Ship Canal, London Medway, locations in Clydeport, Great Yarmouth and Dublin Port.

The scope of the first framework covers general construction works, including sanitation, construction and maintenance of new and existing roads, parking lots, earthworks, land remediation, foundations and piles, construction, maintenance and refurbishment of new and existing warehouses, paving, paving and masonry. Concrete works, railway construction, bridge construction, reconstruction and demolition.

The second framework covers specialized marine construction works, including foundations, asset refurbishment and refurbishment, mooring furniture and poles, quay walls, maintenance and replacement of locks and gates, and ro-ro.

The bidding process is expected to take place throughout 2024, and contracts will be awarded at the end of 2024.
