24th Monthly Continuing Medical Update Course 2024 in Allergy, Pediatrics and Internal Medicine

  • Conferences will be held every month, the former focusing on related specialties and the latter on allergy and clinical immunology

With the aim of informing and updating students, specialists and first contact doctors, the 24th Monthly Continuing Medical Update Course 2024 in Allergy, Pediatrics and Internal Medicine was inaugurated, organized by the Allergy and Clinical Immunology Service of the University Hospital of Puebla (HUP).

HUP Director, María Virginia Ortega Alejandre, highlighted the work done by the organizers for 24 years: “Thank you for continuing to hold these conferences so that all doctors are up to date and do not lose touch with innovations.” “This medicine is given to us in this weather.”

After the inauguration, the first of ten conferences that make up the program was held entitled “Insulin Resistance, Evaluation and Management”, presented by HUP internist, José Sergio Babaki Tapia. These presentations will be offered each month, the former focusing on related specialties and the latter on allergy and clinical immunology.

The prominent topics are “Early diagnosis and timely treatment of prostate diseases”, “Differential diagnosis of acute abdominal conditions”, “Effect of ultra-processed foods on allergic diseases”, among others.

From HUP, this event was attended by Aida López García, Head of the Allergy and Clinical Immunology Service and organizer of the course; María Guadalupe González González, Head of the Medical Sub-Directorate; Fernando Navarro Tovar, Deputy Director of Teaching, Research and Training in Health; Christopherson Gingini Caballero Lopez, Juan Jesús Ríos Lopez, and Sergio Babaki Tapia, course coordinators; and Erika Villada Villada, Chair of the Reception Committee.
