Benidorm Half Breaks Record After Reaching 4,800 Participants

Benidorm (Eve). The Benidorm Half Race, a popular 10-kilometre and 21-kilometre race that will be held next Saturday, has surpassed the all-time record with 4,800 runners.

The test was presented this Thursday at an event attended by the Mayor of Benidorm, Toni PĂ©rez, the Sports Advisor, Javier Jorda, members of the Municipal Corporation, as well as officials of the organization, such as Fernando Brutons, and many of the elite athletes who will gather at the event.

The test, which passes through the main arteries and symbolic places of the city, will start at 5:30 pm in both the half marathon and 10 km distance.

The Benidorm half will see the participation of last year’s champion, Olympian Tony Abadia, and runner-up David Palacio, who will be joined by other prestigious athletes, such as Martin Vez, Alexandra Tondior, Cristina Juan, Uruguayan Cristian Zamora or Argentine Maria. Tesori almonds.

As announced by the organization, 1,600 runners from the United Kingdom will participate in the test, a number that doubles the best record to date, in addition to representation from 23 countries.

At national level, there are runners from 45 Spanish provinces and 38% of the total participants will be women.
